Merry Blueberry

A blueberry smoothie is a wonderful smoothie and we  like to add the classic HIVE granola with pecan nuts for an extra boost!  It is a great nutritious solution for every morning – and thanks to frozen blueberries, it can also be freshly prepared every day.

Blueberry smoothie – great superfood

Blueberries are particularly healthy because they are rich in vitamins C and E. And that is exactly why they are real immune boosters. Rich in antioxidants, the small blue berries help to trap free radicals. So you should eat blueberries much more often. Depending on where you live you cannot always get them fresh so sometimes it is actually better to opt for frozen as the nutritional values are preserved.

For 2 to 3 smoothies, depending on your portion preferences.

  • 200 g frozen blueberries, slightly thawed
  • 100 g oatmeal
  • 1 – 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
  • 1 – 2 tbsp honey, preferably a forest honey
  • 300 g Greek yogurt
  • 250 ml oat drink or milk substitute
  • HIVE granola with pecans, 1 – 2 tablespoons per serving

As always, you can add the classic granulate pecan nuts from HIVE to the blender. Or put the granola on the smoothie later – depending on whether you want to eat the smoothie with a spoon or drink it through a straw.

The classic always quickly prepared

The real advantage of this smoothie is its convenience:  you can use frozen fruit and a normal blender.

We ourselves like to use an organic forest honey that is produced by bees that collect in a mixed forest. This honey is particularly creamy and usually has a slightly malty taste. The bees not only collect pollen, but also honeydew in the forest, which gives honey a particularly complex taste.
